On Saturday 21st September, Yeovil RRT supported Yeovil Hospital Charity 5km fun run at Yeovil Showground. The event was fundraising for the new Breast Cancer unit at Yeovil Hospital.

Lots of runners of all ages took part and gave the 5km challenge their best shot. There was also plenty of mess and giggles, with 2 colour stations, 1 glitter station, a foam pit, a messy tunnel, a cargo net, tyre run, hurdles and kids with water guns!

The RRT team provided a water station mid-race and a well-earned BBQ lunch afterwards for all participants and supporters. In total, the team served around 400 meals, 500 bottles of water and collected £750 in donations to add to the fund.

More About Yeovil Hospital Charity

Yeovil Hospital Charity is Yeovil Hospital’s dedicated registered charity. The organisation uses donations and money raised from fundraising activities to improve the hospital’s facilities and provide services for hospital patients.  The charity makes a real difference to patients, including those who need life-saving or specialist treatment, mums and new babies, and of course the elderly members of our community who often rely on the charities services the most.
