RRT has helped commemorate 50 years of NAIDOC Week, supporting events right across the country and saw hundreds of people acknowledge First Nations cultures and communities.

RRT is partnering with charities, not-for-profit organisations and community groups to mark NAIDOC Week at several events across Australia in July, and served over 2,000 meals. The localities involved were, Wollongong, Wagga Wagga, Picton, Mt Gambier and Ipswich.

An occasion for the community, with traditional dances, a smoking ceremony, bush tucker and soups, as well as the fresh lunch provided by the RRT volunteers. RRT is thankful for another opportunity to be a part of this event, which brings communities together in the best way.

This year, NAIDOC Week is marking its 50th year by celebrating the achievements of the past and the bright future that lies ahead for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
