The Smarrt Cookie initiative aims to assist in the fight against hunger in primary school aged children and break down the barrier hunger has in distracting children from their education, ensuring they reach their full potential.

A Smarrt Cookie bar for children

Alarming statistics from Food Bank Australia’s report ‘Rumbling Tummies’  led RRT to develop a nutritional bar to help ensure hunger in school aged children isn’t a barrier to education. The report showed that more than one in five Australian children have experienced food insecurity in the last 12 months, with 18% of children going to school hungry at least once a week, and 15% going to school without a packed lunch or lunch money.
