RRT Ignite the Conversation on R U OK? Day
The sun broke through this week, setting the scene for a special few days as RRT teams across 16 locations came together to support R U OK? Day 2025. From schoolyards to hospitals, emergency services to community gatherings, our volunteers stood side by side with thousands of Australians – serving meals, sharing smiles, and reminding everyone of the power of a simple question: “R U OK?”
Over three days, RRT volunteers prepared and served an incredible 5,460 meals across Camden, Caboolture, Campbelltown, Lake Cargelligo, Bendigo, Leeton, Molong, Wollongong, Cowra, Cunderdin, Mt Gambier, Hobart, Kalamunda, and Lisarow. The Wollongong team went above and beyond, supporting three separate events in one day, while communities everywhere turned out to connect, recharge, and reflect on the importance of checking in with each other.

R U OK? is a national suicide prevention charity that encourages people to stay connected and have conversations that could change, and even save lives. By strengthening these informal support networks and investing in personal relationships, R U OK? helps people recognise the signs of distress early and connect their loved ones to the right support, long before they’re in crisis.
RRT was proud to play a small part in supporting this important mission. A huge shoutout to every RRT team member who gave their time, energy, and compassion, and to everyone who asked the question, supported the cause, and made R U OK? Day 2025 one to remember. Together, we can keep the conversation going, not just on R U OK? Day, but every day.
