RRT has kept a group of elite cyclists well-fed as they smashed out 180 kilometres for the Go For Broke charity ride, raising money for Lifeline as well as awareness of mental health.

The participants rode from Berowra in North Sydney to Broke in the Hunter Valley, with RRT volunteers from Lisarow and Singleton called up to provide meals along the way.

The riders stick together for 165 kilometres, but they race each other across the last 15km as they “go for Broke”.

"RRT volunteers cooked up breakfast at Berowra, lunch at Mangrove Mountain, and an early dinner in Broke. The Go For Broke cyclists really put themselves through a physical challenge, and RRT was more than happy to make sure they had the sustenance to carry them through."

Local Team Leader, Carl Lisarow

These riders didn’t just complete an incredible feat – they also did it for a good cause, raising money for Lifeline and the important work it does to support people who are having a tough time with their mental health.

We would like to thank Go For Broke for asking RRT to pitch in to help this worthwhile event and raise awareness of mental health.

"The Rapid Relief Team supplied us with amazing food and beverages throughout the day. Thank you for being superstar support personnel for the event"
