Supporting Those Who Serve: RRT & Bedfordshire Police
On October 29th, volunteers from the local Rapid Relief Team Luton collaborated with Bedfordshire Police for their Enforcement Operation event.
Bedfordshire Police is dedicated to ensuring top safety for the Luton community through various enforcement operations that address crime and promote public safety.
RRT was called upon to support the police operation by providing hot breakfast and coffee for 240 officers early in the morning. Arriving at 4 AM, the volunteers served 240 meals until just after 7 AM, offering freshly cooked bacon rolls and barista-quality coffee.
Ian Taylor, Bedfordshire Police, expressed his gratitude by saying, “I just wanted to write a quick note of thanks to you and your whole team for looking after our staff so well yesterday. They had a long working day ahead of them after a particularly early start. They were very grateful for the fresh, hot breakfast baps and coffees. We appreciated how quickly you were able to set up and serve everyone and that you had catered for vegetarians and vegans (being a vegan, I was super happy with my ‘no meat’ bacon bap). An all-around great service, we look forward to working with you in future.”
Over the years, the Rapid Relief Team (RRT) has partnered with Bedfordshire Police, who are dedicated to supporting community safety and the well-being of officers during their demanding schedules. This collaboration is a meaningful way to help police staff recognise the ongoing hard work that often goes unseen.
RRT offers tangible support and quality catering assistance to charities, the government, and emergency services confronting some of humankind’s most significant challenges.
