RRT Joins Warwick Hospital during their ‘Thank You Meal’

The Rapid Relief Team was honoured to support the South Warwickshire Foundation Trust at Warwick Hospital during their ‘Thank You Meal’ event on September 12th this year. 

Warwick Hospital is part of the South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust (SWFT), which provides healthcare services across four hospitals in South Warwickshire. These hospitals include Warwick Hospital, Leamington Spa Hospital, Stratford Hospital, and Ellen Badger Hospital. The Trust, established in 2010, offers both hospital-based and community services, serving over half a million people.

The “Thank You Meal” event was organised to express gratitude to all NHS staff for their hard work and dedication throughout the year. The event was a great success, bringing everyone together, fostering connections, sharing laughs, and supporting each other’s efforts. It provided a well-deserved break for the staff, allowing them to unwind and step away from their busy schedules.

At the event, the Rapid Relief Team (RRT) Leamington supported Warwick Hospital by serving up to 1,500 burger meals, adding to the sense of community and appreciation felt throughout the day. The local mayor also attended the event to personally thank the NHS staff and visited the tent to see how everything operated. Many attendees were seen carrying boxes of food to share with their NHS team members, contributing to the uplifting atmosphere of the occasion.
