RRT Supports Symbolic Walk for Kids with Heart Disease
RRT has provided support to Two Feet & a Heartbeat in honour of children who have childhood-onset heart disease (CoHD). The annual event is held at 31 locations across Australia, with a four kilometre walk symbolising the four lives lost to CoHD every week, and an eight kilometre walk symbolising the eight babies born every day with a heart condition.
RRT Lilydale volunteers served 92 Signature Burgers to participants once they’d finished their walk.
It was an emotional day for all families who were involved, remembering either the children that had tragically been lost to childhood-onset heart disease, or those who are living with it.
The RRT was happy to be on site to provide a comforting presence and a hot meal. Our volunteers were very moved by this meaningful cause, and really appreciate the work done by those involved to raise awareness of CoHD.

“I am thanking God for you today, you are very much a blessing.”
Bibe Curtis, Regional Volunteer Representative for Heart Kids VIC
