RRT Supports Epic Blue Mountains Hike in Memory of Fallen Officer
A NSW police officer has hiked for 40 hours non-stop along the length of the Grose River in the Blue Mountains to raise funds for the families of fallen colleagues, with RRT on hand to provide the fuel. The Great Grose River Walk was completed by Senior Constable James Ghata, in memory of Detective Inspector Bryson Anderson who was murdered in 2012.
RRT volunteers served up 25 Signature Burgers to police officers and staff who were there to support James as he completed his epic feat. Local Team Leader Ron Simpson said RRT was inspired by the strength and dedication shown by James for this important cause.
“James has taken on a massive challenge, going without sleep and tackling the toughest terrain, and he has done it to raise funds for NSW Police Legacy."

“Our teams were so impressed with the lunch; it truly helped make the charity drive a successful and enjoyable day.”
