Summer Festival Day: Kirkby’s Celebration of Community
Summer has arrived, the sun is shining, and everyone is smiling! The Liverpool Rapid Relief Team (RRT) was thrilled to support Kirkby Church of England Primary School and the community in Liverpool for their ‘Summer Festival Day’ on Friday, July 5th.
The Summer Festival Day was organised to bring the community together, fostering mutual support, sharing resources, and promoting a sense of belonging and resilience. It was a way to thank the local community and its families.
Fantastic and fun events were lined up for the kids, ensuring an action-packed day filled with Candy Floss, Darts, Dancing, and Music. It was a great way for the community to come together and enjoy each others company.
The day was a huge success, with Head Teacher ‘Mair Hindmarsh’ expressing her heartfelt gratitude.
Many sideshows and activities dotted the playing field, offering visitors of all ages plenty to do. The Rapid Relief Team, Liverpool (RRT) volunteers were busy grilling 500 burger meals for the community.
RRT was honoured to support Kirkby Primary School by doing what we do best, caring for the community with compassion. It was wonderful to see families from diverse backgrounds enjoying a quality environment and feeling part of the community.
