Serving Heroes at Sea: RRT’s Day with the RNLI

On August 17th, the Local Rapid Relief Team (RRT) set up their distinctive red tent in Middlesborough to support the RNLI lifeboat charity.
The RNLI is an extraordinary organisation committed to saving lives at sea. For 200 years, the RNLI has served communities around the clock, braving calm waters and fierce storms alike. Guided by the principles of selflessness, reliability, and bravery, the RNLI has rescued over 146,000 lives.
As a volunteer-driven charity, the RNLI depends on the dedication of volunteers and supporters who selflessly give their time and comfort to carry out this lifesaving mission. RRT was honoured to support this incredible charity and show our appreciation for their vital work.

Throughout the day, RRT served around 1,000 burger meals, each one a small but meaningful contribution to the RNLI’s lifesaving efforts. The event served as a humble reminder of how small acts of kindness, when united by a community, can significantly support those who dedicate themselves to saving lives at sea.
RRT is inspired by community spirit and the gift of giving and is a way for our community to put our faith into action.
