RRT’s February in 60-Seconds
Hello and welcome to the 60‑second update for February. This month, RRT volunteers supported a range of events across the UK, serving a total of 4,110 meals.
We began in Leeds, where NHS teams carried out a multi‑agency training exercise simulating a knife‑crime incident, RRT supported the day with 240 burger meals.
On the Isle of Wight, Hampshire Fire & Rescue celebrated the groundbreaking of their new station with key stakeholders and local councillors. RRT Southampton provided hot drinks and refreshments to those attending.
In Chester, Cheshire Police brought together multiple forces and organisations for a Heritage Crime training exercise focused on protecting historic sites. RRT served lunch and hot drinks for 100 people.
Next, Exercise Community Shield united emergency services, search and rescue teams and community volunteers to strengthen coordinated response during major incidents. RRT Swindon provided 70 meals.
And in Macclesfield, East Cheshire NHS Charity held a lively pancake race to raise funds for local healthcare, RRT Manchester supported with 300 refreshments.
