RRT’s April in 60-Seconds

Posted: April 30, 2026

Hello, and welcome to the 60‑second update for April. Alongside Police Appreciation Week, April was a month of great activity supporting 264 events with the help of over 1,300 volunteers.

Rope Rescue 2026 at Avonmouth Container Terminal brought rescue professionals and volunteer teams together to learn, share skills, and prepare for challenging environments. RRT Bristol supported the day, serving 70 burger meals to those taking part.

Next, Exercise Otter took place in Winteringham, bringing emergency services together for a large‑scale water rescue exercise. With a focus on teamwork and readiness, RRT Hull provided refreshments to help keep teams fuelled.

In Gloucester, The Butterfly Garden hosted a community event celebrating their work supporting local disabled people through inclusive activities and welcoming spaces. RRT Gloucester served burger meals for everyone attending.

Finally, Sandbach Fire Station opened its doors to the local community. RRT Crewe supported the day by serving 500 meals to visitors and fire crews.

That’s it for this month — see you next time.
