RRT Reading Supports Ealing’s Emergency Response Roadshow
Residents of The Green Quarter in Southall came together on Saturday 12th September for the Emergency Response Roadshow 2026 – an event organised by Ealing Council’s Emergency Response team to connect local people with the organisations working to keep their community safe.
The roadshow brought together a broad coalition of partners, including the London Fire Brigade, Metropolitan Police, London Ambulance Service, Thames Water, Barclays, Berkeley Homes, and a range of local charities. Residents had the opportunity to meet and speak directly with those who serve their community, learning more about the support available to them and the work that emergency response organisations carry out across the borough.
The event offered something rarely available – a single space where residents, emergency services, and community organisations could come together to share information, build awareness, and strengthen the connections that matter most when it counts.
RRT volunteers were on site throughout the day, serving hot burger meals to everyone attending and helping to create a welcoming atmosphere across what was a full and purposeful afternoon.
"Events like this are really valuable - they give residents a chance to meet the people and organisations that are there for them in an emergency, in a relaxed and open setting. It was great to be alongside so many partners who care about this community, and we were honoured to play our part in making the day feel welcoming for everyone who came along."
