RRT Newtown Supports Kerry Fun Day
On Saturday, 9th August, Newtown RRT was honoured to support the annual Kerry Fun Day hosted by local charity, Kerry Events and Defib Group. Held at the community football field, the event drew a lively crowd thanks to the beautiful summer weather and a wide range of activities for all ages.
RRT volunteers served up their signature BBQ burger and sausage meals, along with hot and cold drinks, helping raise vital funds for the charity. Kerry Events and Defib Group is a dedicated voluntary organisation focused on fundraising for and maintaining defibrillators in the local area.
RRT was honoured to provide meals for both volunteers and visitors, contributing to a successful and meaningful day for the community.
“From the moment we arrived at the Kerry Fun Day, the atmosphere was buzzing! As a team, we felt privileged to be part something so meaningful. Serving our signature BBQ meals wasn’t just about food - it was about fuelling a cause that brings a community together with one common goal - to save lives.”
