RRT Helps Fuel London Stansted Airport During Their Training Day!
Despite an unexpected storm on Thursday, the 26th, RRT volunteers at London Stansted Airport served 300 burger and sausage meals during a critical training event. As one of the UK’s busiest airports, Stansted facilitates over 28 million passengers annually.
Manchester Airport Group (MAG)—which owns and operates Manchester, London Stansted, and East Midlands airports—strives to offer safe and seamless travel experiences. The event was a resounding success, drawing in students, police officers, firefighters, armed forces, airport staff, and flight attendants. Throughout the day, RRT volunteers remained busy grilling, serving beverages, and offering warmth with hot tea and coffee.
Staff and volunteers shared conversations over coffee and burgers, and the RRT was proud to support the Emergency Reception Centre during its live exercise. It was an opportunity to express gratitude for their dedication to aviation safety, ensuring everyone’s comfort and well-being.
James Parrish, Head of Business Continuity and Resilience at London Stansted Airport, thanked RRT and their volunteers, saying, “It’s fantastic to have RRT here supporting us, providing refreshments to all the colleagues and volunteers involved today. As you can see, the weather isn’t ideal, but everyone has come together as a strong team.
