RRT Chesterfield Brings Refreshments to Wingerworth Community Day

Posted: June 17, 2026

Wingerworth came alive on Saturday as residents of all ages gathered for the local community day, filling the area with activity, laughter, and a real sense of neighbourhood pride.

Twelve volunteers from RRT Chesterfield were delighted to be part of the occasion, serving 2,300 bottles of water, 500 cakes, and 100 pieces of fruit to those enjoying the day.

"It was a brilliant atmosphere and a real reminder of how much people value the chance to come together. We were glad to be there and to play our small part in making the day go well for everyone who came along."

Craig Ingram

RRT Chesterfield Local Team Leader

Community events like this one sit at the heart of what RRT volunteers show up for every week, supporting the people and places that make local life what it is.

The Rapid Relief Team (RRT), made up of volunteers from the Plymouth Brethren Christian Church, supports emergency responders, essential workers, and local community events across the UK. The charity is experienced in assisting at both live incidents and planned activities, helping ensure those serving their communities feel valued and supported.
