Leamington Hospital Staff Meal: RRT serves 500 Burger Meals
On Thursday, September 24th, the Rapid Relief Team (RRT) volunteers from Leamington served staff at Leamington Hospital for their Hospital Staff Meal, which was organised by the South Warwickshire Foundation Trust.
Leamington Hospital, located in Warwick, Warwickshire, England, was initially established as an isolation hospital. It is now operated by the South Warwickshire University NHS Foundation Trust, which specialises in rehabilitation services. The hospital provides outstanding care and support, mainly through its Central England Rehabilitation Unit (CERU), which offers neuro-rehabilitation for adults recovering from acquired brain injuries.
The Staff Meal was organised to show appreciation and gratitude to NHS staff for their dedication and hard work in caring for and supporting the community. It provided an excellent opportunity for the staff to relax, take a well-deserved break, and connect with their colleagues over shared conversations.
Warwickshire High Sheriff Rajvinder Kaur Gill expressed her thanks by commenting, “The Rapid Relief Team have been in a very high-paced in serving food to all the staff of the hospital through their lunchtime, it’s been absolutely superb talking to the staff, talking to the team members of the RRT and the work that they do, and it’s commendable. The burgers are very tasty indeed; I would just like to say a huge thank you for all the hard work they do and all of the hard work the NHS staff do.”
RRT provides practical support and high-quality catering services to charities, government organisations, and emergency services facing some of humanity’s most pressing challenges. RRT was honoured to support the South Warwickshire Foundation Trust at Leamington Hospital during their ‘Staff Meal,’ serving up to 500 burger meals and offering refreshing drinks to show our appreciation for the hard work and dedication of NHS staff.
