Echoes of Hope: RRT’s Ongoing Relief in Ukraine

Posted: October 30, 2024

The Rapid Relief Team (RRT) continues to support Ukraine as it navigates the ongoing conflict. Two Years and eight months since the war began, RRT has been engaging with local communities, listening to their stories and delivering essential resources to those affected.

Nadiya Oleksandrivna Radchenko, born in Siversk in 1939, has resided in the district hospital in Murovani Kurylivtsi, Vinnytsia region, for the last two years alongside 16 other elderly individuals from Bakhmut. Nadiya expressed her heartfelt appreciation for the RRT volunteers and the essential support they provide.

“We are very grateful to them. I sincerely thank you, my native Siversk community, and the English sponsors for the wonderful food packages I have received several times. I share it with everyone. Let’s taste it together and thank the good people who remember and support us in difficult times. We have lost everything we had; we have nowhere to return to. We will live out our age here..”

The town of Siversk, located on the frontline in eastern Ukraine, has endured relentless airstrikes that have severely damaged infrastructure and disrupted water, electricity, and food supplies. Despite these hardships, RRT has consistently provided food boxes and essential items to help civilians like Nadiya survive.

To date, the Rapid Relief Team has donated 11 million meals, and it continues to extend its reach to communities in crisis, where the need for support remains critical.
