RRT’s May in 60-Seconds
Hello and welcome to the 60-second update for May.
This month, RRT volunteers delivered 81 events, serving over 16,000 meals across the UK.
At Hillingdon Fire Station, the Community Resilience Roadshow brought emergency services and local organisations together to improve preparedness and recovery after major incidents. RRT Reading were grateful to support the day, serving 450 hot meals to attendees and crews.
On International Nurses Day, hospitals across the UK took a moment to recognise the dedication of nursing staff who care for patients every day. RRT teams supported events at six hospitals, serving meals and refreshments to over 4,000 nurses as a small thank you for all they do.
In Yorkshire, hundreds took on the demanding Three Peaks Challenge in support of Andymans Club, raising awareness of men’s mental health. RRT Leeds supported along the route, serving over 350 meals to those taking part in this important cause.
At the Children’s Cancer Walk in Hastings, families took part in the Run to Run 2026 raising vital funds for the Children with Cancer Charity, RRT Hastings were delighted to serve 200 meals to support the day.
