RRT Middlesbrough Supports Multi‑Agency Fire Training Exercise at Teesside Airport
Volunteers from the Rapid Relief Team (RRT) stepped in yesterday to support a major multi‑agency fire training exercise at Teesside Airport, providing welfare and refreshments to emergency personnel taking part in the exercise.
The exercise brought together teams from across the region to test coordinated emergency response procedures, providing an important opportunity for local services to practise joint response protocols in a controlled environment and strengthen their preparedness for real‑world incidents. Supporting the day, RRT Middlesbrough served 80 hot meals to participating firefighters and partner agencies – offering a welcome morale boost and a moment to recharge during the demanding training scenario.
“Our volunteers were thrilled to support such a valuable training exercise. It’s always inspiring to see our local emergency services working together so effectively, and we were glad to help keep teams energised throughout the day.”
Murray Johnston
RRT Local Team Leader
