RRT Supports Blue Mountains Aged Care Sector
The Rapid Relief Team (RRT) has helped the Blue Mountains Aged Care sector commemorate the International Day of Older Persons by supporting its Seniors Expo.
Aged care providers, community organisations and government services came together for the expo, which had the theme “Building Connections within our Community”.
RRT volunteers from Katoomba served snacks, fruit, and other refreshments and purchased 50 coffees from a local café to distribute to participants and attendees.
The event was a wonderful, welcoming day out for all who attended, and recognised the importance of older people in the Blue Mountains region.
“Our elders are an integral part of what shapes our local community, and what better way to acknowledge that than to put on a nice day for them."
