AU – RRT Perth, Kalamunda & Mundaring are committed to support Tranby Mission for 2017

As with 2016, RRT Perth, Kalamunda and Mundaring are again committed to supporting Tranby Mission at their regular homeless breakfast events. Numbers to be catered for at these events are generally around 150. While RRT are committed to support Tranby on a monthly basis, Tranby provide breakfast every morning to those in need, free of charge!
The first of these events that RRT supported this year was held on the 24th February 2017, involving 8 RRT volunteers cooking bacon and egg rolls for approximately 150 homeless people. Upcoming events that RRT will support have been scheduled for 31st March, 28th April and 26th May, at which point, RRT will review available resources before committing to another 3-months.
The Tranby Centre (Uniting Care West) provides day support to homeless people as well as those at risk of becoming homeless through the provision of a safe accepting and inclusive environment in which support, advocacy and referral can be provided. The service is aimed at people aged over 18 years of age.
RRT are pleased to give what support they can to Tranby Mission, whose vision is being able to respond to people most in need and to work hard towards creating justice, hope and opportunity for all. When you consider some of the statistics on homelessness in Australia, organisations such as Tranby Mission do a truly noble and needed service for our community.
