AU – RRT brings bushfire relief to Queensland locals – November 2019

As Queenslanders count both their costs and blessings after the recent bushfires, the Rapid Relief Team (RRT) stepped in to bring hope, and a helping hand in Yeppoon on Thursday 28 November 2019 where 14 families tragically lost their homes.
RRT hosted a well-deserved community day out for all affected, and donated a $1,000 IGA gift voucher to each family, an RRT Family Food Box and served a free BBQ lunch and barista coffee.
Ron Arkcoll, RRT’s Chairman, said we’re stepping in to do our bit.
”What we’re doing here is bringing together Christian values of care and compassion with Aussie values of helping a mate in need,” Ron said.
Yeppoon was the first stop on RRT’s Operation Fire Relief Initiative, and RRT will continue onto other fire-ravaged communities throughout QLD and NSW, with the aim of helping hundreds of Aussie families who have lost everything.
