Rapid floods swept across New South Wales in July, leaving families displaced, communities shattered and emergency services working overtime to assist. RRT volunteers jumped in to support, lending a helping hand in Maitland, Wollombi and Broke.

RRT Maitland Flood Support

RRT served local Maitland SES personnel, catering over five days to help fuel the frontliners responding to this disaster. RRT volunteers showed an overflow of support, hoping to ease the pressure on the first responders with warm meals and refreshments.

RRT Singleton Flood Support

Singleton volunteers also lent a helping hand to the local SES responding to floods in Wollombi and Broke, setting up base at the Northern Zone Command Centre to support frontline personnel.

With a wet outlook for the rest of 2022, RRT are equipped and ready to support.
