26 years of success! May 14, 2016 marked the 26th annual successful year for the Manitoba Disabled Physio Fit Run. This event is held annually to raise funds for the Manitoba Riding for the Disabled organization, which is a charitable non-profit organization formed in 1977 to provide a therapeutic riding program for children with disabilities.

Through the years, this program has grown from a modest 75 participants up to an 800+ participant run in more recent years.

In this event, all sponsored participants have the option to participate in a 3, 5, or 10 kilometre walk/run.  RRT was assisting at the event this year for the first time, and during the race, RRT members were busy acting as route marshals directing the traffic away from the participants in the event.  Cheering on and encouraging the energetic runners, who were working hard to raise the much needed funds for the organization, was also an enjoyable job that RRT was pleased to assist in!

A great day was had by all, and another great year of the Manitoba Disabled Physio Fit Run was completed successfully!
