Financial constraints on families in many communities are certainly not easing, with the continuing pressure of rental costs, vehicle expenses and the cost of everyday food needs. Thanks to Evocca College, Christ Mission Possible (CMP) and PCYC Mt Druitt are not unfamiliar with these challenges and have combined to provide a weekly food drive for persons in need.

CMP are one of Western Sydney’s largest food harvesting organisations, providing over $15 million worth of food to persons in need last year. Evocca College and CMP have partnered together to deliver a weekly food drive at the PCYC facility at Mt Druitt to improve the lives of many facing difficult times.

Evocca College invited RRT to provide a sausage sizzle to launch the 2016 Food Drive Program. So on Wednesday 3rd of February a small team served tasty sausage sandwiches to the 90 or so patrons who had come to collect their much needed staple grocery items for the week.

Putting a smile on the faces of those in need by serving free sausage sandwiches was truly rewarding!

To see the time and effort put in by Evocca College and CMP along with PCYC was overwhelming. Well done Evocca and CMP – your teams do a fantastic job. And thank you PCYC – your facility is excellent.
